We will introduce filling preview of FineReport reporting software in this article.Filling preview is to view the filling reports via filling preview.

1. Description

Filling preview is to view the filling reports via filling preview. To view reports in this way, you can display control and edit (i.e., enter, change) data and submit data in the web side.

2. Filling preview

2.1 Select preview method

Save template. Click the Inverted Triangle under the Preview Method to select the filling preview method, and you can enter data in web side, as shown below:

Note: In default, the preview method has memory function. For the first time, you can select the view method. Later, when you view the template, the default preview method will be the previous method.

After clicking Filling Preview, you can view the effect in the web side as shown below:

2.2 Filling operation

Filling report is to enter data in web side. Next, we will enter one piece of employee information data to display how to enter data in the filling report.

Double click each control-bound cell, and input corresponding information, as shown below:

Note: Only control-bound cell is available for editing and data entry.

2.3 Submit data

Data submission is to fill and store the data analystic entered in the cell to the database based on the corresponding relationship set in the Filling Attribute Setting.

After data entry, you can click Verify Data button to verify all data in the entire page and see whether the verification rules set before are met. Click Submit button to submit and store the data in database. Or, you may directly submit data without data verification. During submission, the data will be verified, as shown below:

Note: If, after clicking filling preview, you find that there is no toolbar in web side, you need to go back to the template. Select Server > Server Configuration > Filling Page Setting. Check Use Toolbar. At this time, all filling templates can display toolbars.
