Today we will introduce float element of BI in this article. Float element formats include: normal text, formula, chart and picture.

1. Overview

Float element formats in report designer include: normal text, formula, chart and picture, as shown below:

1.1 Normal text

Click menu Insert > Float Element > Insert Normal Text and click the report body to insert a float normal text.

Right click the float text and select Set Float Element Name to set the float element name, as shown below:

Select Style to change the style of float element.

1.2 Formula

Click menu Insert > Float Element > Insert Formula to insert a formula, as shown below:

1.3 Chart

Click menu Insert > Float Element > Insert Chart to insert a chart. You may refer to Cell Element Insert Chart.

1.4 Picture

Click menu Insert > Float Element > Insert Picture to insert a picture. Or, refer to Element Insert Picture.

2. Copy float element

Select a float element and right click to copy it for pasting. The original float element will not display selected status. When new float element is moved, the original float element will not move. That means, the new float element and the original float element are independent from each other, as shown below:

Right click the float element and select Set Float Element Name to see the copied element. In default, add -Copy on the basis of original float element, as shown below:
