We will introduce how to hide rows and columns in FineReport reporting tool in this article.

1. Description
Some cells in our report designer are only for intermediate operations, which are not to be displayed. You can hide the cell value or hide the entire row or column in the report designer.

2. Hide rows and columns by direct setting
Right click the row or column in report designer tab to be hidden. Select Row Height or Column Width in the pop-up menu and set them to 0. Or, directly right click Hide.

3. Hide rows and columns by setting row height and column width as 0 in the Condition Attribute
Sometimes, we need to display rows and columns in report designer when certain conditions are met; and hide them in other cases. To realize this, you can set row height and column width in the Condition Attribute.
Right click the cell and select Condition Attribute. Add Condition Attribute. Click the attribute to be changed at the right top corner to pop up a drop-down button. Select column width (default: 0), and click OK.

If the current value is 0 or is null, and the column width is 0, set the Condition Attribute as follows:

4. Unhide
To display hidden row(s) or column(s), select the rows above and below the hidden row(s) or the columns adjacent to either side of the hidden column(s), and right click to select Unhide.
