How many cell elements in our business intelligence?

1. Description

Cell elements in report designer include data column, normal text, rich text, formula, chart, picture, slash and sub-report, as shown below:

1.1 Data column

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Data Column or right click Cell Element > Insert Data Column to insert the data columns in a template data set.

1.2 Normal text

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Normal Text or right click Cell Element > Insert Normal Text to insert a normal text.

1.3 Rich text

Click menu Insert > Cell Element >Insert Rich Text or right click Cell Element>Insert Rich Text to insert a rich text. For detailed usage and meanings of rich text, refer to Rich Text.

1.4 Formula

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Formula or right click Cell Element > Insert Formula or click the button in toolbar to pop up Define Formula interface.

Input formula in the Text Edit box:

Click OK to insert a formula

1.5 Chart

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Chart or right click Cell Element > Insert Chart or click the button in toolbar to pop up Insert Chart interface.

Click Complete to insert a chart.

1.6 Picture

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Picture or right click Cell Element > Insert Picture or click the button in toolbar to insert a picture.

1.7 Slash

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Slash or right click Cell Element > Insert Slash or click the button in toolbar to insert a slash. An interface as shown below will pop up:

Input slash text and click OK to finish this operation.

For example, input Product and Year, as shown below:

Effect is as follows:

1.8 Sub-report

Click menu Insert > Cell Element > Insert Sub-report or right click Cell Element > Insert Sub-report or click the button in toolbar to insert a sub-report. An interface as shown below will pop up:

Select sub-report position and click OK to finish this operation.
