We will introduce Change displayed value – form of FineReport reporting tool<\/span><\/a> in this article.<\/p>\n

1. Description<\/h3>\n

An original data table stores data of code nature. Data presentation displays meaning actual values, but codes and values tend to be stored in another table.<\/p>\n

If there is only Client ID in the Order Table of the built-in FRDomo database and the corresponding Client Name is in the Client Table, in order to display Client ID in the Order Table as the corresponding Client Name:<\/p>\n

FineReport Cell Attribute Table \u2013 Form > Data Dictionary<\/span> can be used to address such problem.<\/p>\n

2. Realization Steps<\/h3>\n

2.1 Open report<\/strong><\/p>\n

Open the report of %FR_HOME%\\WebReport\\WEB-INF\\reportlets\\doc\\Primary\\DetailReport\\Details.cpt<\/span><\/p>\n

To see only Client ID in the report to be displayed as the corresponding Client Name in the Client Table.<\/p>\n

2.2 Set Form \u2013 Data Dictionary<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select data column cell of Client ID, right click to select Form > Data Dictionary, or directly select Form in the Cell Attribute panel at lower right corner and set the actual value of this column to the Client ID column in the Client Table, displayed as Company Name column in the Client Table.<\/span><\/p>\n

The function of data dictionary is to display the corresponding display value of each extended actual value.<\/p>\n
