There are 5 kinds of options when we open Option set box of BI<\/span><\/a>. Let’s have a look on them.<\/p>\n

Click File > Option<\/span> to pop up Option set box, as shown below:<\/p>\n

Some common settings in report designer<\/a> will be described below.<\/p>\n

Note: After setting this interface, corresponding configuration information will be saved in C:\\Documents and Settings\\Administrator\\.FineReport80\\FineReportEnv.xml<\/span>.<\/p>\n

1. Designer language switch<\/h3>\n

For Simplified Chinese Designer, default language is Simplified Chinese. Or, you can switch the language to English, Japanese or Chinese Traditional in Option > Common > Language Selection<\/span> as shown above. After switch, please restart the designer.<\/p>\n

Click Designer Language to view corresponding definitions of built-in languages of FineReport, as shown below:<\/p>\n

2. log export configuration<\/h3>\n

Control log information in designer in Option > Advanced >log Export Configuration<\/span> and log Level Setting<\/span>. It will not control the server side.<\/p>\n

For details, refer to log Output Level<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Note: debug means to output all SQL execution statement logs on the basis of INFO level.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Ruler unit setting<\/h3>\n

There are times to set length, width and size in the report designer. Length unit can be customized and default unit is mm. You can configure length unit in Option > Advanced > Ruler<\/span> unit configuration.<\/p>\n

4. Port number setting<\/h3>\n

The default port number is 8075, i.e., the port used when you click Page Break Preview in the designer to view reports.<\/p>\n

If the 8075 port has been occupied in your machine, you can set another port. After setting, please restart designer.<\/p>\n

5. Control to display all oracle tables or not<\/h3>\n

When connecting Oracle database with Data Connection, if Display All Oracle Tables is checked, no matter who logs in the Oracle database, all tables will be displayed. Uncheck it to only display the tables within the user\u2019s permission, as set in Oracle database.<\/p>\n
